Brazil surge and steady newcomers reshape the week
Average concurrency climbed modestly while a handful of servers showed durable growth and several large Portuguese-language communities shuffled in and out.
Average concurrency rose to 150111 (previous week 147179, +2%), with a peak of 230169. Weekend peaks were 156424 (Sat) and 160507 (Sun), while midweek values dipped as low as 145025 (Wed). The headline of the week is not a single monster rise but a pattern: a few servers posted sustained, multi-day growth while the Brazilian (pt-BR) cohort increased its share markedly.
The week
Average concurrent players by day of week. Bars are scaled to the week's own range, not from zero.
The week closed with average concurrency at 150111 (previous week 147179, +2%) and a peak of 230169. Average servers online were 32637 and the scanner saw 82954 distinct servers at some point during the seven days. Weekend peaks were 156424 (Sat) and 160507 (Sun); midweek lows sat around 145025 (Wed), so the familiar weekend lift was present but not an outlier. The player-share table shows a clear regional move: pt-BR now accounts for 29,145 players (20.9%, up from 17.2%), while en-US and th-TH remain the next largest groups with 19,992 and 16,584 players respectively.
The distribution at the end of the week still skews heavily to very small or empty servers: 'Empty' slots total 350,070 and the 1–10 bracket holds 132,611 servers. The server-count in the 500+ bracket is 61, so the long tail remains dominant. What changes this week are not a wholesale reshuffle of the top table but a cluster of newcomers that stuck and a handful of already-large Portuguese-language communities that either reappeared in force or dropped out entirely. That dynamic—new, surviving arrivals in pt-BR plus notable disappearances—sets the week's tone more than any single peak.
Who moved, and whether it held
Trajectories matter more than raw deltas this week. GTAWorld Roleplay English grew on 6/6 days with the cleanest upward profile in the dataset: daily 127→194→234→311→332→337→389 and a weekly average of 277 (previous week 12, +265). That continuous growth is the single most convincing signal that a server is on a genuine upward trajectory rather than enjoying a one-night spike.
AROUND TOWN | @Boss Studio is the second clear trajectory: AROUND TOWN grew on 5/6 days and posted steady daily increases (180→286→330→380→366→446→454), finishing the week at an average of 351 (previous week 4, +348). Its pattern is similarly persuasive: multiple growth days across the week and a consistent weekend carry.
LUV TOWN OFFICIAL | RP also grew on 5/6 days (daily 776→795→795→824→892→921→922) and added 119 players to finish at avg 848; this is a steadier, less dramatic climb but one that held across weekdays and the weekend. Those three—GTAWorld Roleplay English, AROUND TOWN and LUV TOWN—are the most meaningful movers because their gains happened on multiple days.
Contrast that with raw-but-shallow lifts. LIGA DAS TROPAS shows the largest single weekly increase in absolute terms (+355 to avg 1225) but 'grew on 0/6 days' and is presented as a single high value in the daily column; that pattern reads like a concentrated spike or index change rather than a lasting ramp. Forever Roleplay — Parte 2 jumped from single digits into the hundreds (daily 7→20→299→286→279→310→347) and grew on 4/6 days—an explosive arrival that retained a good share of its gains but still looks different to a six-day steady rise.
On the downside, ซัมเมอร์ซิตี้ ซีซั่นสอง lost 193 players (-50.4%), with daily 406→356→320→271→0→0→1 showing a near-complete mid-week disappearance. Several servers collapsed to near-zero (, Prime PvP | S3, ), indicating that the week's losses are concentrated in a mix of test or short-lived instances and a few larger communities that ceased to appear reliably. fell by 174 (-23.4%) but remained present on multiple days, so its decline looks like a cooling rather than an exit.
The leaderboard
Rank movement this week is dramatic at the extremes. Los Santos 2080 climbed to rank 521 after a rise of 30,184 places (was 30705), finishing the week with an average of 17 players. PiñaRP posted a similar acceleration to rank 1634 (was 31258, up 29,624), and Angkor City, デルグラ2 and Xlantis City are other large upward movers that rose from far outside the close-of-week rankings into visible positions. These big jumps typically reflect servers that either first appeared during the week or re-entered the tracked index and then gathered enough activity to vault hundreds or thousands of ranks by the close.
Downward movement includes several steep falls. Safir 20+ dropped to rank 32436 from 1538, a decline of 30,898 places (avg 15), and JING BATTLEGROUND fell by 27,339 places to rank 31022 (avg 60). Default Server and other large falls mirror the week’s churn: some are name changes or de-indexing, others align with servers that stopped appearing. Rank moves of this magnitude are operationally meaningful for community managers: they often coincide with either a server being reintroduced after a wipe or with a server losing visibility and players rapidly.
Arrivals and departures
The newcomers list this week is dominated by Portuguese-language (pt-BR) entries that survived to the week's close. Notable first-seen survivors include LIGA DAS TROPAS —> .gg/ligadastropas SALA 1 (first seen 2026-08-21, present 3/7 days, avg 750, peak 2045), BRASIL ROLEPLAY WIPOU #FACS LIVRES (first seen 2026-08-21, present 3/7 days, avg 612, peak 1113), ㅤㅤHype RP (first seen 2026-08-19, present 5/7 days, avg 318, peak 1016), BRASILÂNDIA! (first seen 2026-08-19, present 5/7 days, avg 265, peak 529) and ECCOOOO (first seen 2026-08-19, present 5/7 days, avg 214, peak 631). Prime PvP | S3 is listed among new survivors (first seen 2026-08-17, present 7/7 days, avg 93, peak 251), showing some smaller new entries that kept running through the whole week.
At the same time a number of sizeable servers went dark. The went-dark list includes several Portuguese-language communities: A Lisboa é o maior servidor do mundo com wl fechada. (last seen 2026-08-12, was averaging 909 players), DZ7 ROLEPLAY WIPE 🡺 WL FECHADA (last seen 2026-08-12, was averaging 778), and multiple entries named LIGA DAS TROPAS with last-seen dates ranging 2026-08-12 to 2026-08-21 and averages between 489 and 1005 players. BRASIL ROLEPLAY WIPOU #FACS LIVRES also appears in the went-dark list with last seen 2026-08-21 and an average of 650 players. The overlap of identical or similar names between the 'survived' newcomers and the 'went dark' list is the clearest sign of churn inside the same naming clusters rather than a simple rise-or-fall story.

What to watch
What to watch next week: the single most actionable distinction is the number of growth days. Servers that grew on 5–6 days (GTAWorld Roleplay English, AROUND TOWN, LUV TOWN) are the ones to monitor for sustained momentum; a repeat of 5+ growth days and continued weekend carry would confirm those as durable trajectories. By contrast, large one-off lifts (LIGA DAS TROPAS's +355 with 'grew on 0/6 days' or Forever Roleplay’s explosive jump) need follow-up: if these names keep averages near their peaks on multiple non-weekend days they convert into trajectories; if they revert to the prior baseline, they were spikes.
For community managers the regional picture matters: pt-BR's share rose to 20.9%, and the week’s surviving newcomers are heavily Portuguese‑speaking. If you run a pt-BR server, the market is active; if you don't, be prepared for increased competition and consider retention measures that matter on weekdays as well as weekends. Finally, the went-dark entries underline operational fragility — disappearing from the index is the fastest way to lose rank and player mindshare. Confirmation or collapse is visible within seven days; watch next week's growth-day counts and whether newcomers hold their weekend highs into Monday–Thursday.
